Kings Vale - first train

Passed a significant milestone today with the first train (CPH 12) operating over the line under its own power.

This was followed by 3813 running light engine.

Very chuffed (if you'll pardon the pun)!

Cheers
James

  2. Indeed. Prior to that, in DC mode, I ran my new VR B60 along the line. Definitely off to a bad start for prototypical running!

  5. Thanks, Shaik.
Craig, for your benefit, the LFXs are, of course, wonderful. Starting to think I should have one more! Of course I won't really know until I try to put them together, but just picking through all the little packages in the box is a delight. The instructions are also very nicely done.
It really is a spectacular achievement; the detail is beautiful and Mike really has thought through the design and options very well. It's going to make all my other rolling stock look ordinary.
Given the price of some of the rtr models these days, and the effort Mike has put into these over many, many years, $195 is cheap!
What's Mike going to do with himself now?
    Cheers
    James
